Expressions the Dance Gallery is located 30 minutes east of Calgary, in Strathmore AB. Offering classes in RAD ballet, ADAPT jazz and tap, hip hop, lyrical jazz, musical theatre, and acrobatics. We are currently seeking a certified ADAPT teacher and a registered RAD teacher to join our staff to teach syllabus work from Pre-Primary through to Advanced.
We are a friendly, family oriented studio with a mandate to provide quality, caring dance education for all students whether competitive or recreational.
The successful candidate/s will be responsible for:
- Preparation of students for RAD and or ADAPT examinations and organization of students on examination day
- Choreography and costuming of dance pieces for competitions and festivals.
- Choreography and costuming of dance pieces for our year end showcase at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
- Implementing and developing a modern program for all ages and levels
- Working and coordinating with the artistic director as needed.
- Creating a structured yet fun learning environment for our students!
We are looking for someone who is creative, fun, and wants to teach, because they love dance. An ability to teach other disciplines would be a plus. The position is full time for a 10 month season that starts on September 13th, 2010 and ends June 25th, 2011. Salary is negotiable. Please submit a resume, references and exam records. Dance TEACHERS Required to teach: Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip Hop, Ukrainian Pirouette School of Dance is an established (20 years) dance school that is committed to providing qualified dance instruction in Cold Lake, Alberta. Pirouette currently offers instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Tap, Ukrainian, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Creative Movement, Musical Theatre and Parent and Tot. Desired qualifications: A love of teaching Dance, Experience in teaching all levels of Dance, Experience in Competitive Dance, Good working relationship with peers and students, Experience mentoring senior students and junior instructors. Qualification from ADAPT, ISTD, RAD, Cecchetti, ESB, PAEC or a University Degree in Dance would be an asset. These are desired qualifications. Position for Full time Dance Instructor
Dance City is a well established and expanding school of dance in a progressive south east community located in Regina, Saskatchewan.
The Role:
The instructor's primary responsibilities include:
1) preparing students for examinations and certifications
2)solo and group choreography for competitions and recital
The Person:
-High Energy, enthusiasm and ability to work well with children to young adults
-Must have one or more of the following qualifications:
RAD Certified (Pre-Primary to Advance 2 levels)
ADAPT certified (Tap/Jazz Junior to Advanced levels)
C.D.T.A. Certified (Tap/Jazz Primary to Advanced levels)
