Lisa Poland
Lisa ( Terakita ) Poland grew up in Calgary, Alberta where she trained in all facets of dance mainly under the direction of Susan Mensinger. She then moved to Toronto to train with Mr. and Mrs. Foley and dance professionally. She eventually married her dance partner, Danny Poland. Some of Lisa’s live musical credits include “42nd Street”, “Annie”, “An Evening at La Cage”, “Canada’s Wonderland”. She has performed all over the world in many industrial and corporate shows. She has also danced on many television shows such as “Super Dave Osborne”, “The Kids in the Hall”, “Friday the 13th”, “The NHL Awards”, the “George Fox Specials”, “The Veronique Belliveau Specials” and “Canada Day on Parliament Hill”. She was featured on many national commercials including “American Express”, “McDonald’s”, “Sprite”, “Ontario Tourism” to name just a few. She was in many music videos and films such as “Car 54 Where are you?” where she danced with artists such as Deborah Cox, Lisa Lougheed, Alanis Morrisette and Vanity. Lisa also choreographed a special promotional video for the movie “Look Who’s Talking Now” and has been an assistant audition choreographer for Disney.
Lisa and Danny were the teachers, choreographers, and artistic directors of Performing Dance Arts for over 20 years. They enjoyed the success of being one of the top studios in North America and also the success of many of their students who are now successfully working professionally in the industry. Lisa was also very honored to be selected on the advisory board for the FDC ( Federation of Dance Competitions ).
Lisa currently enjoys partnering with Danny and his sister Debbie Noce with their dance competition CANDANCE and Candance North America.
She is very honored to be on the ADAPT team under the direction of her In Laws Mr. and Mrs. Foley! Lisa’s biggest inspiration and greatest achievement in life comes from her 3 children Kyle, Kane and Mya.
