Sandy Slemp
Sandy Slemp has been involved in dance pretty much her entire life. Her training started in Calgary as a young girl and evolved into becoming a dance teacher then a studio owner. Having owned her own dance studio, The Dance Factory, for 27 years in Calgary, Alberta. Taught, mentored and nurturing 1000’s of dancers in her many years as a teacher. Sandy’s positive and upbeat teaching style makes her an excellent motivator and mentor.
Sandy is a fully accredited teacher of the ADAPT Syllabus and a lifetime member and former President of the Wild Rose Dance Arts Association in Calgary. In her years of training students she has successfully put students through their ADAPT Tap and Jazz exams from the Junior to Advance levels.
Many of Sandy’s former students have gone on to have successful careers in dance. Many can be seen in music videos, major motion pictures, cruise lines, TV commercials and many different dance companies. With many following in Sandy’s footsteps and are successful dance teachers and studio owners.
After selling her studio, Sandy has stayed involved in the dance community teaching master classes, adjudicating and examining for the ADAPT Syllabus. Loving every moment of this next step in her dance career, she is able to share her expertise with others.
